Well here is where I will tell about my background of how I began this love of Christmas decorating. Well I was born in June of 1977. My parents told me they always went around during Christmas time and looked at Christmas decorations, it was a tradition they had always done. From what my parents told me, the furtherest back i remember is when i was 3 or 4. The house I remember the most was one that has always stood out in my mind. It was in the early 1980's when Blowmolds were very popular. This one particular family had a yard just full of them. Every year I always talked about wanting to go see this house. Well, year after year we always went from town to town hunting places that had lots of lights and decorations. We never really had alot of money to do much decorating, but we had that tradition every year of driving around hunting the decorated streets. That is what I will always remember.
Lets jump to 2000. I bought my 1st home that February & was married in September. That first year I new i wanted to start a new tradition at my own home. I was determined to take my love of Christmas decorating to a new level. I wanted to be a part of giving other families memories that will last forever. I wanted to have the biggest and best display I could have. At first it was somewhat simple, but year after year it has really grown. I have always hit the yard sales, thrift stores, and estate sales. I would buy the bulk of my lights at the after Christmas sales so the next year i would have more than I would need. The addition of my twin daughters in Feb. of 2004 has added to this passion. I want them to have the memories to remember through the years.
The display has went from a simple static display to now having computer control, low frequency F.M. radio station, wireframes, lighted plastic figurines, ropelight, strobe lights and of course the standard miniature lights.
This has pretty much become a year round hobby for me. I hope everyone enjoys the website and tells all their friends and family about it.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!
